OP Investment Management ("OPIM"), an Asia’s leading fund platform, announced on 27 July 2020 that it is partnering with Beijing Hongcheng Capital Co., Ltd. ("Hongcheng Capita") to launch the first offshore fund of Hongcheng Capital named HC Capital (the "Fund").

Managed by Mr. ZHANG Tao, the long-biased fund, which is Cayman-domiciled and for professional investors only will invest in China-related equities listed in China, Hong Kong as well as ADRs in the United States. Targeting long-term absolute returns, the Fund leverages the evinced multi-thematic strategy of the team’s onshore flagship products and builds positions based on dynamic sector rotation with a bottom-up stock selection approach.

Established in April 2015, Hongcheng Capital grows rapidly and manages over RMB 8 billion AUM onshore.

Mr. ZHANG Tao, the Founder and Investment Director, who obtained his master’s degree in Financial Engineering from Fudan University, has over 18 years of investment experience in the China market. Zhang was the Managing Director, Investment Committee member, and Portfolio Manager at Harvest Fund Management Co., Ltd. Mr. Zhang earned multiple rewards in his career, including five Golden Bull Awards, four Star Fund Awards, and is the sole winner of the Morningstar Equity Fund Award in 2014.
